I walked in and asked how their pizza was and they told me it was the best pizza in Tawas. Now I haven't tried the other pizza places in town, but if it ain't the best, it's pretty damn close. Friendly service, great pizza. Definitely worth checking out.

Great family place with a HUGE menu! They let us bring our dog onto their beautiful patio....gave her water! Place is clean, service was impeccable, food was delicious! They even have carb smart items.

So my husband and I had been to two previous places, and struck out. We decided, "what the hell, it couldn't be worse than any other place we've been to in this godforsaken city"... Thankfully we sat down at the bar, and Matt was our bartender and server. He introduced himself right away, made great menu suggestions, and served us the most incredible Long Island Ice-T's. He turned our evening around and made us feel like the city may not be quite as godforsaken. I highly recommend this place... the food was fantastic, the service was wonderful, and the drinks were delicious.

Delicious pizza. Good crust and huge choice of toppings. Sauce is on the sweet side. Salads are not great. Ordered a Caesar dinner salad which was ridiculously small and had a couple of croutons over a a few leaves of wilted lettuce for 2.99. I sent it back. Get here early during the summer. Gets busy fast.

Had lunch here today and as usual, everything was spot on. Good food, friendly service. Wish parking was a little closer.

I give the pizza a score of 9 out of 10. It's good. The crust is a little crispy on the outside, soft inside, just like I like it. Got a medium for $10.59 which is a little expensive, but you can add a 2nd pizza to it for $4.30. Atmosphere inside is pretty nice. Nice and bright with plenty of windows. Service was good too.

I read a lot of great reviews on G's, including ones that say G's has the best pizza EVER, so I had no choice but to give it a try because I honestly think Gracie See's in Detroit has the best pizza ever. I will say, G's has the best pizza north of Detroit. The 2 most important factors in how I judge a pizza is by its crust and sauce. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The sauce was fabulous. It tasted really fresh, and it has just the right amount of sweetness in it so as to not cause a nasty heartburn. (FYI, if you want to cut the heartburn causing "sting" of tomato sauce, add a a little bit of sugar in it as you're cooking it. Enough to cut the sting, but not enough to ruin the taste). All in all, I expect to visit G's every time I visit East Tawas. You should give it a try as well. I highly recommend it.

My boyfriend and I went to this pizza place while staying in Tawas for a weekend, I didn't even know it was a chain. We split a barbecue chicken pizza and fried pickles, which were both pretty good. When my boyfriend ordered a refill on his pop, they brought a whole pitcher out, which I bet some pop lovers would appreciate. Service was fast and good. I think this was probably one of my favorite places we ate in Tawas, and I would definitely go back.

We had a great pizza here. The crust was excellent and they really load up the toppings. Service was good and they are open late. We will definitely seek out G's Pizza in the future. I wish they would come to Holland- nothing here comes close to G's.

My son and I had dinner tonight at Gs . He ordered pizza (good) and I made the big mistake of ordering their wet burrito. It was not edible. Sauce straight out of the can, bland, cold refried beans, tasteless, bland mess. The worst...could i even call it Mexican?...that I've ever eaten. Gs needs to stick with what they do best and eliminate the rest of their over-zealous menu.

G's Pizzeria and Deli in East Tawas is my favorite G's pizzaeria. The staff is always friendly and the food is always cooked to perfection. I can't say that for some of the other G's I have visited. With the exception of Traverse City, so imagine how upset I was to learn on a recent trip that one had closed. The crust is just the right amount of dough and is cooked to perfection. Not overload on the sauce, which tastes like authentic sauce and not some plain tomato paste. The salads are good sized. You certainly get what you pay for. Same with the pizza. They do cost a bit more than some pizza places, but you get what you pay for. This is a Michigan owned restaurant chain. They source a lot of made in Michigan products. When doing take out, the large salad is enough for two people. When eating in, they are big, but not as big. You could still probably share.

I had a delicious grilled-chicken wrap and my sister had a grilled cheese sandwich made with G's homemade bread. We loved our lunches. There was a salad and pizza bar which most of the customers chose. They all looked satisfied with their lunch purchases. I generally don't do the pizza bar because I like my food fresh from the oven and not sitting around. But, that's me. Everyone seemed very satisfied. The restaurant is on the East side of US 23 in Oscoda.

Best restaurant in the area. I havent had a bad meal here once. Great pizza and great cheese spears. I get the southwestern chicken wrap most of the time that i come here. I dont even pick up a menu to second guess it. Great food and for the most part, great service. The only reason i say that is because we came here for a family friends 10th birthday, and one of the older waitresses told his brother that when he turns 12, she will give him a lap dance. I mean this lady is like 50+? Was very bizarre. Other than that, great people. I believe its the owner that i see walking around, checking out how everyones meal is and if there is anything that can be done. Really a nice atmosphere. Just that one incident that was really weird.

Great place for lunch, the view is nice and the staff is good. The pizza does make it to my top five but not the best I've ever had. If they broiled it a bit and added a little more sauce it would be amazing. The bread and topping are very good. I would certainly come back again. Overall, a great pizza place.

Upon arriving in town and checking in to my hotel for the night, I asked the front desk employee what restaurant she would recommend. She spoke very highly of this place, and so I gave it a shot. The young lady that took my order was friendly and helpful, the delivery was on time as promised, but the food was not even remotely enjoyable. I ordered French Onion Soup, which came in a styrofoam soup container 60% filled with a piece of their homemade bread, and the remainder was too much cheese (and I looove cheese), and maybe 10% actual soup. What a disappointment! It's pretty hard to mess up French Onion Soup, but G's Pizzeria managed to do it. It's as if they put a tablespoon of soup inside, shoved a piece of bread in there, and then a large handful of cheese. Yuk! I also ordered a half sandwich: Roasted Red Pepper Turkey Sandwich on their homemade whole wheat bread. Well...there was plenty of turkey, but after a bit or two of no red peppers, I opened the sandwich to find exactly that. No red peppers at all. What another disappointment! I'm just not sure what all the hype is about...maybe they should just stick to pizza, but I know I'm not ordering from them ever again.

This place has the best pizza in Michigan. I prefer the deep dish with garlic butter on the crust. Also try the parmesan and garlic spears as an appetizer. The BLT is also fantastic, order it in the special G's bread.

Great greasy pizza! I personal enjoy the pizza sticks with a half order of garlic spears and a tall bud. This place is always packed and is limited durring dinner time

This isn't just pizza, it is a religious experience. It is by far the best pizza I have ever had. If you are looking for that classic pizzeria pizza, this is the place. Carry out is delicious, but dining in is absolutely amazing. When you get your pizza and when you scoop your slice onto your plate and the cheese leaves a trail from the tray to your plate, you know it is going to be good. There is also a location in Oscoda, which is also great pizza, but the attention to detail that the East Tawas location gives makes it just unbelievable. The location is unassuming, but the pizza is out of this world.

Hands down... the best garlic spears and nacho cheese sauce I have ever experienced! The menu is full of options and if you're new, just ask about the most popular items. The line ahead of us was a bit overwhelming but we got seated in no time. This is your place if you want home made pizza and the best garlic spears & nacho cheese sauce in the world! Thank you G's!!! xo

Pizza was OK, but served to us luke warm (not hot) and a little under cooked. Service was pretty good. We had a large party and the waitress did a good job keeping up with everyone and splitting checks.

Love to go here with kids to get pizza. Just pizza, nothing else... well maybe a salad and breadsticks. We have gone here and tried other food besides the pizza and were less than impressed. Now we stick with the za...and are never disappointed. It's a nice, clean place. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere.

Very good crust. Had the BLT and was not very impressed, but I feel like their other pizza's could be good with that crust!

Went here for a rehearsal dinner and the pizza was soooo good. The location was great, as it was right across the resort we were staying at (the resort not so great). The ambiance was nice, it was darker inside, which I prefer in a restaurant..I hate eating my food under bright lights. We just got a basic pepperoni pizza, as I said it was a rehearsal dinner so I believe that is what she ordered for everyone. I've had a lot of pepperoni pizza in my time and I would put this as at least one of the top five. The service was extremely slow though..I understand there was about 40 of us. But the bride had called in advance to let them know. All in all, if I'm ever back in Tawas..which I strongly doubt, I will definetly stop by here again.
